M:10 Samurai School

The History Cowboy rode through time into Japan, for the final time. This time, he was there to take samurai training. It was not necessarily a mission, but The Cowboy felt as though he was out of shape. He brought no weapons and dressed in a commoners clothing. When he emerged he let the cougar loose with strict instructions not to run off to far.
After that, The Cowboy walked to the nearest town, and went to Samurai school. He was admitted and the training commenced almost immediately,
First, the instructors trained the recruits minds. They would let them go about there day, but at odd moments when the recruits were least expecting it, the instructors would jump out and whop them on the head. The Cowboy, after his third whop on the skull, was ready. The next time an instructor jumped out at him, he struck out with both legs. He knocked the wind from the instructor, immobilizing him for a moment. That was all The Cowboy needed. He lashed out with a series of punches and kicks, incapacitating the instructor. The Cowboy was moved up a class.
In physical training, the Cowboy was allowed barely enough food to survive, and was constantly forced to exert himself to the limits. He could have left, but he chose to see it through to the end. The Cowboy is not a quitter.
Finally, after  three years of the brutal training described above, The Cowboy was donned a Samurai. He gratefully left Japan and it's odd (to him) ways behind, and rode back to present day. He was satisfied with his physique, and no longer felt as though he was letting himself go.
